Carbohydrate, flavonoid, anthocyanin,total phenol, chlorophyll and mineral (K+) content development of wax apple fruit as affected by CPPU and NAA using swabbing technology

Abstract The study was conducted to investigate the effect of CPPU(2-Chloro-4-pyridyl-phenylurea) and NAA (Naphthaleneacetic acid) on pigments, total phenol, flavonoid mineral (K+) content in wax apple fruit. CPPU concentrations were 10, 15 20ppm (Expt.1) 6, 12, 18ppm applied coming after swabbing technique (Expt.2). In Expt.1, lowest fruit weight, size chlorophyll observed control treatment. However, highest (SPAD) found 15ppm CPPU. most effective concentration for earlier maturity (color development) compared other concentrations. Moreover, flavonoid, fructose, inverted sugar, phenol K+ higher than control, 10 addition, anthocyanin increasing trend while developing represented by color development. Expt.2, NAA. Furthermore, 12ppm 6 Besides, maximum Finally it seemed that best growth biochemical contents development apple.
